Belgian Federal Police

Document Management solution for the Belgian Federal Police based on a performant search engine.

The system was to be deployed in the police intranet, taking its constraints into account (low bandwidth, single sign-on, access control).

After a study of the best available solutions on the market, CEDITI selected the product PolySpot Enterprise Search.

As subsequently developed, the system allows a centralization of electronic documents and/or references in a clear and user-friendly manner. The repository is fully integrated with the Vubis library system.

The thesaurus-based search engine performs searches on terms, their synonyms and/or translations.

Result : the system is available since 2004 to all police staff and will be soon extended to an extranet environment.
